Three FDNY firefighters were injured battling a two-alarm fire Wednesday.
The fire broke out shortly after 8:30 a.m. on the second floor of a five-story building in Midtown Manhattan, amNY reports. Flames spread to the third floor, sending thick plumes of smoke into the air.
Three firefighters suffered minor injuries during the call. They were taken to the hospital, and no details were released concerning the extent of their injuries or their conditions.
Roughly 106 firefighters in over 25 units responded to the fire and worked for more than two hours to get the flames under control. The fire was completely extinguished shortly before 11:15 a.m., according to amNY.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
